Claire Elise Bocher,/bu:'SeI/boo-SHAY born on 17 March 1988. The name she is given is Grimes. Her early work is called "lo-fi R&B to futuristic dance-pop",[4which draws influences from hip-hop, electronic, and rock. Her songs often incorporate science-fiction and feminist themes throughout the lyrics. Five studio albums have been released by her. She was raised and born in Vancouver (later making the move to Montreal), Grimes began releasing music independently from the mid-2000s onwards, releasing two albums, Geidi Primes and Halfaxa which were released in 2010, via Arbutus Records. The following year, she became a member of 4AD and gained acclaim after the release of her third album Visions which came out in the year 2012. Visions features the singles "Genesis" as well as "Oblivion" and was awarded the Canadian music industry Juno Award for Electronic Album of the year. In the years following, she released her fourth studio album Art Angels, was released in 2015 , and was met with the acclaim of critics, with several publications having have rated it as the best album of the year. [6] Her fifth studio album, Miss Anthropocene, was made available in the year 2000. Aside from music, Grimes had a voice character in the 2020 gaming action Cyberpunk 2077 and is a judge on the competition for musicians game series Alter Ego. Georges Georges Georges
